Travelling After Laser Eye Surgery
You cannot travel directly after your Laser Eye Surgery.
In most cases, permission to travel by air will be given by the doctor at the 4 day post-operative appointment.
During this appointment your protective lenses (which are placed on your eyes during surgery) will be removed and an eye examination take place to check on healing and progress.
It is advised that for maximum comfort when traveling by air you lubricate your eyes every 30 minutes.
This is due to the dry air in airplanes.
