Too young for Laser Eye Surgery?

In order to undergo Laser Vision Correction you must be at least 18 years of age.

This is the youngest age that has been approved by the FDA for Laser Vision Correction.

The main reason for this age choice is the changing/growth of your eyes overtime.

Your eyes fluctuate during early childhood as well as in your teenage years until you reach the age of 18, this is when they fully mature. In order to be a candidate for Laser Eye Surgery you have to have a stable prescription, it is recommended that your eyes must have stayed the same for at least a year in order to be a candidate.

This means that before the age of 18 your vision is unlikely to be stabilized.

Contact us today to set up your complimentary consultation, to determine if you are a good candidate.
