Can I Get Laser Eye Surgery If I Wear Contacts?
Can I Get Laser Eye Surgery If I Wear Contacts?
The short answer for this is yes, you can.
However, contacts do have a negative impact on your eyes which can effect the time frame of your procedure as well as the type of Laser Vision Correction you are suitable for.

Long term use of contact lenses is known to thin out your corneas as well as cause dryness in your eyes.

Your doctor will request for you to be contact free for a certain period of time before your procedure.
(This can be between 1-4 weeks, depending on the type of contacts used)

In many cases people with thin corneas and dry eyes are not candidates for the more invasive forms of Laser Eye Surgery due to the flap that has to be created in your eye.
That is not the case here.

Our LASEK procedure can be performed on people with dry eyes, thin corneas and even those that have astigmatism!
This is due to the fact that the Lasek procedure does not have any cut, or flap.

We perform the least invasive Laser Eye Surgery available, and because of this those who are not candidates for other, more invasive forms of laser eye surgery, are likely to be candidates for the type of procedure we offer.
