Am I Asleep During Laser Eye Surgery?
You are not put to sleep during Laser Eye Surgery.
The patients eyes are numbed with eye drops before the procedure begins, the patient will feel no pain or pressure during the procedure.
In other forms of Laser Vision Correction, in which an incision is made, patients may feel pressure even with the numbing drops, however, here at the
Goldberg Centre for Vision Correction we only perform
Lasek, the most non-invasive type of Laser Vision Correction, which has no cut or flap.
The procedure itself only lasts between 20-30 minutes.
